CIARA  CUMISKEY

Ciara Cumiskey is a visual artist and graphic designer based in northern California. Her days are filled with creativity, making graphics, copywriting, shooting and editing videos, marketing, and creating art shows at her day job, before clocking in at her home studio.

From Caravaggio to cartoons, high renaissance to pop art, Ciara has always had a binary fascination with the very old and very new.  As a young adult, she was smitten with anime, fantasy, and science fiction, and history. Today, her ideas filter through the lens of a personal experience,  pop culture, and art history fandom that keeps her thoughtful and reflective.

Her thirst for art was influenced by her creative mother, aunt, and grandmother. These women made time to craft and create after long workdays and weeks. 

Cumiskey has been painting since 2011 and graduated from Southern Connecticut State University with a Bachelors's in Studio Art: Painting in 2014.

In her recreation time, she enjoys reading, singing, role-playing games, improv comedy, and cats.
